Brisa was designed from a commitment to nature: the existing mature trees, the natural slope of the ground, natural light, and natural ventilation — kept, not corrected. The oaks set the footprint.

HOG'S BREATH INN

Few restaurants in Carmel carry as much collective memory as Hog's Breath Inn. Founded by Clint Eastwood in 1970, its fire-lit courtyard, dining rooms, and bar are part of how the town remembers itself.

JEFFERS CABIN

Built in 1902, the cabin was the first Carmel home of poet Robinson Jeffers and one of the last log cabins in the village. The reconstruction and its hillside addition received the 2025 AIA Monterey Bay Honor Award.

MILLS HOUSE

Mark Mills came to Carmel to supervise construction of Frank Lloyd Wright's Della Walker house — and stayed. The house on Mission Street was the first he designed in Carmel, and he made it his own home.

THE VERANDA HOUSE

The house already had everything its owners valued most: beautiful Carmel Valley weather, a swimming pool, and uninterrupted views of the Santa Lucia Mountains. Yet the rooms that shaped daily life looked elsewhere.
